What is laser hair removal?

Traditional hair removal procedures such as waxing, threading, shaving, and epilators can leave your skin feeling irritated and red and lead to unsightly and uncomfortable ingrown hairs.

How does it work?
 
 

Laser pulses or IPL beams destroy hair follicles by targeting the melanin, leaving the surrounding skin tissue undamaged. The hair follicles’ pigment absorbs the light pulses, damaging the follicle enough to slow down hair regrowth significantly. We carry the Laser and IPL machines for hair removal so that we can cater to your specific needs according to your budget and skin type.

How long is the laser hair removal?
 

The entire treatment will take approximately 10~20 minutes depending on the treated area.

 
What to do before the laser hair removal?
 

You will need to shave the area to be treated about two to three days before your appointment. If you recently had a wax, the procedure can be performed only after the hair grows out again.

 
How many treatments are required?
 

Results are gradual and become more visible after each treatment. Depending on the hair condition, generally 4 to 8 sessions, spaced about 6 to 8 weeks apart is sufficient to see results.

 
Is there any downtime?
 

You may experience some redness in the treated areas for a few hours. Over the next few days, expect the hairs in the treated areas to start to fall out. It is advisable to minimize sun exposure for a week as the skin may still be sensitive.

 
Is the laser hair removal painful?
 

Based on individual’s pain tolerance and location, most people are able to tolerate the treatment without much discomfort. Cold air will be provided if necessary.
